SopranoTiffany Abban, has performed in both North America and Europe in a diverse repertoire including Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Offenbach, Heggie, and Purcell. Abban began her studies at Interlochen Arts Academy and continued at The Juilliard School as well as The Curtis Institute of Music. She was quickly engaged by the San Francisco Opera as a member of the Adler Fellowship Program; where she performed the role of Mimi in the final Western Opera Theater tour. Lauded for her unique and beautiful instrument, she has been awarded grants and honors, including the George London Award in memory of Leonie Rysanek, and First Place in the Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation, amongst others. Abban makes her home in NYC. Pianist, Jonathan Kelly, serves on the faculty of the Yale University School of Music as the song repertoire coach. He is also a faculty member of the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, where he serves as the Assistant Conductor of the Opera. He has worked as accompanist and opera coach at the Manhattan School of Music, The Chautauqua Institution, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and Opera Theatre of Lucca. |
